World series game score
• Volpe became the first Yankee with a grand slam and multiple stolen bases in a game, regular season or postseason, since Mickey Mantle on Aug. 19, 1962. He’s the second in postseason history to do so, joining Shane Victorino in Game 2 of the 2008 NLDS.< https://learnchinesegrammar.com/ /p>
Who are the starting pitchers?Dodgers: RHP Jack Flaherty (13-7, 3.17 ERA during regular season)Flaherty pitched well in Game 1 of the World Series, allowing two runs over 5 1/3 innings, and he will now get a chance to close out the Fall Classic for his hometown team. The right-hander struggled on regular rest against the Mets, allowing eight runs over three innings in Game 5 of the NLCS. But outside of that, Flaherty has been solid for the Dodgers this postseason.
The Yankees avoided becoming the first team to get swept in the World Series since the 2012 Tigers and the first Yanks team to do so since 1976. They have forced a Game 5 on Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium — a game that has proven a pickle for some past clubs that lost the first three games of a postseason series but, in this case, is a big, big deal for a team able to trot out a pitcher of Cole’s ilk.
Open world pokemon game
My 9-year-old son has had Pokemon Legends: Arceus on his birthday list ever since he saw the latest game trailers. And I’m sure he’s not alone. My first few hours with Nintendo’s latest exclusive Pokemon game on the Switch remind me of what it felt like five years ago to play The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Nintendo has tons of Pokemon games to choose from on the Switch, but Arceus, for me, is the most satisfying. Also, the weirdest.
The gameplay felt so fast and respectful of a player’s time, allowing one to quickly catch multiple Pokémon at a time and then whip around into a battle. It was liberating but not quite the perfect game fans were hoping for.
Maybe some of these technical issues could be addressed by post-launch updates, but I wouldn’t count on it. The Arceus engine struggled in most of the same ways nearly a year ago, and numerous reviews and technical analyses called them out at the time. If these were problems that could be patched out relatively easily, it seems like they would have been fixed by now. It’s enough to make you wish that the rumored “Switch Pro,” with its more powerful chip and support for Nvidia’s DLSS upscaling technology, had actually panned out.
A taste of an open-world Pokémon game, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, finally appeared in January of this year, more than 25 years since the first games were released. Players were invited into a world similar to feudal Japan, only recently discovering the technology of Poké Balls. Instead of battles happening on separate screens, trainers could start a battle anywhere with a simple button press. Battles weren’t even necessary for catching Pokémon and the creatures fought back, making the trainer character an active part of the gameplay outside of traveling and conversing. Riding on the backs of powerful Pokémon while more wandered the forests and mountains brought back a sense of childhood glee to millions.
When Sun and Moon were released, Mega Evolutions disappeared and were replaced by Z-Moves, and when Nintendo published Sword and Shield, Dynamaxing supplanted Z-Moves. And now Terastalizing has done the same to Dynamaxing (and Legends: Arceus’ Move Mastery). That means no more kaiju-sized Pokémon or single-use limit breaks. Sure, thanks to Terastalizing, Game Freak has finally struck a good risk-vs-reward balance that isn’t restricted to certain Pokémon, but I can’t help but shake the feeling that Game Freak will replace that mechanic again in the next entry. If that is the case, why bother getting excited or learning the ins and outs of the system?
Pokémon in gaming and pop culture has changed the world. Regardless if the games meet the astronomical hopes and expectations of vocal fans, the games will likely continue to sell millions of copies. Thankfully, fan games and indie games can often fill the void of what Pokémon could be. Either way, we can always hope that one day we finally get an open-world Pokémon game worth celebrating.

Of course, Yankees fans are aware of the only time in baseball history a team has come back after losing the first three games of a best-of-seven series. It was 2004 ALCS when the Red Sox did it to the Yankees en route to their first World Series title in 86 years.
Below is the full World Series schedule, including start times as well as TV and streaming info. Game 5 will be the last game of October. Depending on the results on Wednesday, the next MLB game will either be in November or March 2025.
“Last night two fans were ejected from Yankee Stadium for egregious and unacceptable physical contact with Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts,” the Yankees said in a statement Wednesday. “The safety and security of players, fans and Stadium staff is the foundational element of every event held at Yankee Stadium, and it cannot be compromised.”
He also has started a pair of Game 3s in this postseason, allowing six runs over five innings in a 6-5 loss at San Diego and pitching four innings in an 8-0 win for Los Angeles on the road against the Mets.
